Christmas… oh a time when we let loose or maybe feel guilty about the 2kg of food we eat for each meal.
Or are you the person who is gluten free, dairy free and sugar free blah blah blah and it’s impossible to go to a gathering and feeling that there is only a morsel of a dish that you can eat or you are just eating something because there is no other choice and you go home and pay the consequences from eating so much sugar or bad fats.
We love creating dishes for Chrissy because it’s the best time to shock people when they realise that “oh my gosh this really has no dairy, gluten or sugar in it and it tastes great!! what’s in it then?” so the feelings are mutual.
Here is a delicious recipe for you to bring to that gathering for EVERYONE to enjoy without feeling guilty.
The best thing about it is that it is Christmas coloured naturally as well as taste! 🙂
200g organic sunflower seeds
200g organic sultanas
40g organic cold pressed coconut oil
80g organic shaved or shredded coconut
2 drops Young Living cinnamon oil
2 drops Young Living nutmeg oil Read more about oils here
2 teaspoons matcha powder (kenko is a really good brand)
Measure all ingredients into Thermomix and blitz 15 seconds/speed 6
Scrape down with spatula and blitz again if you like a finer texture.
Note: Be careful not to over blend the mixture as the oils will come out of the seeds and coconut and you will end up with a beautiful coconut seed butter
Roll the balls to the desired size you like
Refrigerate till needed.
For gift ideas, place them in jars and surprise people with a refined sugar free, gluten free, nut free, dairy free and egg free treat that taste amazing!
